this album rulz but it also kinda sux

quick & useless reviews by two former music directors from a college radio station you couldn't give a fuck less about.

Damages falls pretty much perfectly in line with the past few releases Jimmy Eat World has put out: a few super catchy pop-rock songs surrounded by a lot of slow, boring emo snoozefests. The whole visibly depreciating energy from album to album thing definitely isn’t aging the band well, and the progressively improving production quality certainly isn’t making up for it. Listen to the singles if you’ve liked these guys in the past, because they honestly are pretty solid, but you’ll prolly feel like the album as a whole is just kind of a waste.
overall rating: schmeh.
